1. The property cannot be rented unless it is rented for a long period to Cyprus permanent residences who live in Cyprus legally  

2. Short term leases such as booking.com or Airbnb are prohibited because these affect negatively (hurt) the Cyprus tourist economy

3. The above derive from an internal policy of the Ministry which they cannot share with the public

4. Random checks are conducted to ensure the above
