@6547210892Good Evening,
Lada recommended that I get in touch with you regarding a stray cat and her kittens.
for the past few days we have been feeding a very shy stray cat. She was quite underweight, and she has now brought at least one kitten to our terrace.
Yesterday , I also spotted another 3–4 kittens nearby, so it is likely that there is an entire litter.
The mother is very fearful of people but comes regularly for food. The kittens appear to be quite young, although they are already able to walk.
I have also noticed that two of the kittens may have an eye problem, as its eyes look unusual.
I am concerned about their wellbeing and would like to know whether you are able to offer any assistance or advice in this situation.
It is also not easy to get close to the kittens, as the mother cat hisses and clearly does not want people approaching them.
If helpful, I can send photos of the mother cat and the kittens.
Thank you very much for your time and any guidance you can provide.
Kind regards,
Hanna

@StalkerqueenDear Hanna,
Thank you for reaching out and for looking after this cat and her kittens
If possible, please do take photos and videos of the mother cat and all the kittens. This is very important both for assessing their condition and for any future rehoming efforts. You can also post their information in local Facebook groups; there is a list of relevant groups at the link

Regarding the kittens’ eyes, if they appear infected or abnormal, you can start by using Tobrex eye drops. It would also be a good idea to have them examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist. If you are near Limassol, I would recommend Despo in the Agios Athanasios area. If you are closer to Larnaca, Dr. Glykeria at V3ts is another excellent option
Because the mother cat is very protective and fearful, it may be best not to force contact for now. Continue feeding her and gaining her trust. Once the kittens are old enough to eat kitten food independently and no longer rely primarily on their mother’s milk, it would be beneficial to try to trap the mother cat so she can be sterilized and receive any necessary medical treatment
At the same time, please take as many good photos as possible of the kittens. When they are old enough, you can try to find homes for them. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees, but it is definitely worth trying
Thank you again for caring about them and keeping an eye on their wellbeing
