FINANCE CONTROLLER

My client, an investment holding (IT) operating in the EU, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director / Finance Controller.
This role plays an integral part in managing and optimizing the operating budget and supporting financial decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, efficient resource allocation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex organizational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1️⃣ Budgeting and Financial Analysis:
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of the global financial strategy.
- Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning for the holding, as well as individual business units and departments.
- Coordinate and oversee period-end close processes and financial reporting (revenues, expenses, profitability).
- Provide actionable insights through detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

2️⃣ Liquidity Management and Banking Relations:
- Ensure effective liquidity management and optimize group funding.
- Lead regular cash management and cash flow forecasting.
- Manage relationships with banks in Cyprus and the EU to ensure smooth cash transactions.
- Assess and manage financial risks related to liquidity and cash flow.

📌Requirements:
- Cyprus or EU citizenship (mandatory).
- Minimum of 4 years in financial services; experience in a Big 4 firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of business models and the ability to conduct financial analysis based on key performance metrics.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); proficiency in Russian is an advantage.
- A personal network in the EU financial sector is a plus, particularly for handling complex financial matters with banks.
- Ensuring accuracy in financial reports, budgets, and forecasts is essential.

Experience: 5+ years in IT, DevOps, or Software Engineering.

Coding Skills: Proficient in coding with a focus on automation and development tailored to DevOps needs. Python or Golang and Shell scripting or Powershell
Containers: Strong knowledge in Docker, CICD, Kubernetes and Microservices applications.
Monitoring systems: Experience with Monitoring tools, Datadog and Splunk
Operating Systems: Extensive experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud technologies is a plus. AWS is preferred.

❇️ Now we are looking for a Legal Counsel, whose main tasks will include:

- Working with questionnaires and claims, corporate, financial, labour, and tax law issues, presentations, reports, and other documents, and ensuring the relevance of the documentation;
- Opening and maintaining accounts in banks or other financial institutions (filling out bank forms, communicating during the compliance process, processing requests in a timely manner);
- Working with migration and visa issues, interacting with public authorities and representation of the company’s interests (Cyprus and Worldwide);
Interacting with law firms and other external providers, such as accountants and Big Four accounting firms;
- Consulting the financial team, working on the KYC issues, supporting audits, etc;
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial documents, such as service agreements, confidentiality agreements, request for proposals, and collaboration agreements;

❇️ Candidate requirements:
- Highly-skilled lawyer who knows English law and has experience in the supporting the above-mentioned issues;
- Has in-depth knowledge of commercial, contract, corporate, labour, and private international law of Cyprus and EU;
- Fluent in business and legal English;
