22nd Animafest Cyprus: the yearly celebration of Animation, in Salamiou!
This multi-faceted, innovative event that has been constantly renewing itself in these 22 years, will once more present some of the most exciting of the world’s animated films in its competition programs, alongside new Cypriot films and many sidebar events that include exhibitions, concerts and workshops for children and adults.
The INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION selection of 32 films from 19 countries aims to present to the Cypriot public some of the most cutting-edge international films, characterised by universality and humanist values.
The NATIONAL COMPETITION, CYPRIOT FILM PANORAMA, and PANORAMA OF STUDENT FILMS are programs designed to celebrate the flourishing of Cypriot animation.
The CHILDREN AND YOUNG AUDIENCE COMPETITION PROGRAMME, targeted towards our ever-increasing younger audience, includes 8 films from 7 countries and will be judged by a 3-member children’s jury comprised by young school students.
In our MUSIC PROGRAMME we are thrilled to present 6 amazing Cypriot bands, while our SIDEBAR EVENTS will be enriched by the presence of several Cypriot and international artists from the fields of animation, creative writing, music and applied arts.
