Pressure difference between 0°C and 99°C of air is only about 25%, usually well within safety margins. However, most not-so-toxic glues start to yield much sooner, around 60-70°C, this is what causing inflatables to "explode". Seams fail, and it pops. If you hadn't inflated that ball and left it in the car, good chances it would leak anyway when you inflate it🙂
Water heaters is another story, boiling water always wins over a closed container.
