The tunnel (travelling to paphos) is controlled by the SBA (being within the British Sovereign Authority designated area). Hence, the regular presence of the SBA radar trap on the tunnel exit (travelling toward paphos), and their strict 80 kmph speed limit (inside and) exiting the tunnel (ie. zero 20% excess speed tolerance).
Furthermore, I understand the inland side of the tunnel (ie. travelling toward limassol) is zoned government land.
In my opinion, it is highly unlikely the national Roads Authority would allow the SBA to install fixed cameras in one or either tunnel, and personally, I have not seen fixed cameras inside either tunnel.
I perceive this to be fake news at this time.
