QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role (experience in the FinTech industry is a strong plus).
- Experience with marketing analytics.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and ETL processes.
In-depth knowledge of BigQuery, Vertica, ClickHouse, SQL, and Python.
- Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and highly optimised data pipelines leveraging BigQuery, Vertica, ClickHouse, and other relevant technologies.
- Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues to ensure smooth data flow.
- Monitor and optimise data pipeline performance, identifying and implementing performance
enhancements.
- Automate data engineering tasks using scripting languages like Python.
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field.
